Valentine’s Day has always been a mixed emotion holiday for me. As a florist, I have a slightly different take on the whole “Valentine’s Day experience”. This marks my 16th Valentine’s Day in the Floral industry. Valentine’s Day has historically been met with very long […]
I think about this question often: “Why buy your flowers from me?” Flowers have become very accessible in the last ten years. Costco, Trader Joe’s, and grocery stores all carry flowers. How convenient (and often cheap)! I myself have occasionally purchased flowers from these establishments. […]
When I got there, Larcom’s Lighting was there transforming the outdoor space with fantastic string bulbs, Veronica from Dolce Vida Beauty was working on the model, Kelly from Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals and Shari Wise were unloading. I jumped in and set-up came together smoothly and BEAUTIFULLY!
Michelle from Valley Images Photography arrived just as we were putting the finishing touches on the tables.
Each place setting had a beautiful napkin, guest name, and a sweet little jar of flowers.
Blossom Farm Vintage Rentals brought these beautiful farm tables that we lined with a beautiful runner from Creative Coverings, and I included a yummy mix of hydrangea, mini gerbera daisies, amnesia roses, olive branches, deep plum foliage, chocolate Queen Anne’s lace, and pretty little pink Peruvian lilies.
We went outside and perused the Ranch a bit. Out behind the barn, there was this amazing tree that Michelle spotted. The glorious result of her find:
The model looked absolutely stunning. Veronica did a gorgeous job on her makeup. I think the flowers in her hair came out perfect! They fit right into Veronica’s awesome styling.
Rachel, the model was so cold the poor thing! We would walk around looking for the next photography spot, and we’d have to put her sweater on. I thought it looked impossibly adorable so Michelle kindly took her picture wearing it. I think they thought I was joking, but look!!
Tell me that’s not stinkin’ cute!!
The sun started setting, so we lit the candles and turned on the lights! That’s when I think the magic really started.
This was such a fulfilling and satisfying experience for me. I am all about collaboration, creativity and hard work. How lucky was I to be part of a team of strong, smart, creative and hard working people?
I look forward to continue on my quest to find like-minded individuals who are passionate about being their best self and love putting together fantastic events!

New on The Sarah Larkin Design blog…
I’m in the KLJ Studio with the beautiful Aimee as my model and the talented Kelly Lynn behind the lenses.
This wildflower bouquet by Sarah Larkin Design paired beautifully with Aimee’s simple white dress and her beautifully soft curls. Together, they make for the sweetest combination.
This garden style hand tied bouquet contains walnut branches studded with immature tree nuts, purple Russian sage, vibrant yellow and orange lantana, dried stellata pods, rudbeckia hirta (also known as black-eyed susan), and greenery to add a soft drape.
It was such a pleasure working with Kelly, Aimee, and Veronica Gersalia. I think together we made some magic happen. What do you think?
