If you’ve never been to the Park Winters in Winters, CA, it’s a must. I had the pleasure of spending a few hours with photographer Bethany Petrik from KLJ Studios Photography touring the gardens of the beautiful Park Winters. Rafael, one of the owners, graciously showed several of us around, gifted us with glorious cardamom fig jam made from fruit from their trees, and shared with us the exciting renovations they have in the works.
For a floral designer, their property is about as close to perfection as one can get. What an amazing gift it is to be able to wander the grounds snipping fresh blooms and greenery for table arrangements, food garnishes, or spectacular floral art installations.
The scent of honeysuckle drifting in the breeze, ample shade from the hundred year old trees, and seasonal blooms popping up throughout the gardens creates a feeling of absolute serenity for me. This is a happy place for me indeed.
I look forward to many more visits to the Park Winters in the future. For a floral designer and a photographer, Park Winters is the perfect destination to feed our souls and spark our creativity.
