My name is Sarah Larkin, and I am the proud owner of Sarah Larkin Design. This business is the result of 15 years of practicing my craft, and the willingness to trust in myself and share it with others.
I love flowers. I just do. It is only in the last few years that I’ve realized how much I love cultivating the seeds, planting them in my garden and then harvesting them for a bouquet. The first time I made a bouquet out of only things from my garden, I was hooked. When I grow the flowers, I get to see them through the entire journey…all the way to my customers’ outstretched arms.
Not every bouquet I make can be sourced from my garden, but most contain SOMETHING I’ve grown. When I need other flowers, I first turn to local farmers. I think we as florists need to be conscientious about our impact on our planet. By keeping it local, I avoid throwing away a lot of plastic, support local business, other small business owners and can avoid the environmental impacts of importing flowers.
Owning Sarah Larkin Design provides an amazing opportunity for one on one client connection, a deep connection to the earth and has sparked so many new relationships within YOLO County. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this amazing community, and I hope you enjoy my work!
